W e traveled to Boston to see our son coach in the high school basketball semi-finals at TD Gardens. We searched for a place close to the gardens and found Bulfinches. It was a great location for us. Within walking distance of the T(public transportation) and two blocks away from the arena. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a junior suite, for 3 of us. All suites are in the triangle portion of this flatiron building. It was on the smaller side, but we did enjoy the room. The couch bed was OK, as couch beds go. I would recommend Bulfinches to anyone staying in Boston, especially if you need to be close to the TD Garden. If you need a late night snack or meal check out Porters on Portland street.

The only thing that this hotel has is a great location- the rooms are oversized closets and the staff was very snobbish when I asked for a luggage rack (those are only for guests in suites-really made to feel like a second class citizen because I was not booked into a suite) Would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling into Boston. Very disappointing.

We would highly recommend the Bulfinch Hotel to someone who is looking for a conveniently located hotel in Boston. We were able to go almost everywhere on foot once we checked in and parked the car in the nearby garage. The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were not large, but had plenty of space. The beds were extremely comfortable even though they were full size (and we are used to a king at home). The bedding was high quality and clean looking. We didn't have any problems with noise in the halls or hearing other guests through the walls. The fitness center was on the small side (1 stair master, 1 exercise bike and 1 treadmill), but they were all in working order. We didn't eat at the restaurant located in the hotel, but it looked nice. We dined in Little Italy, which is just around the corner, most of the time. There were many restaurants within a very short distance from the hotel, including Dunkin Donuts and Subway. We had a great stay for 2 nights in Boston and the Bulfinch Hotel was one of the highlights of the visit.

This property is quaint (but don't get me wrong, room size is fine), clean and friendly. My family stayed overnight and they treated us extremely well. If you are visiting Fanuel, the Government section, and especially if you're headed to the Garden, this location can not be beat! Don't park on the street unless it's Sunday...you WILL get ticketed. The garage two blocks away is $30/night. (This is general in Boston, not really specific to this hotel, but note that it doesn't have its own parking, I guess.) Looks like they have a lot of ""green"" initiatives at the hotel, which is nice. I can't really think of any negatives to say about this hotel, and that should say something positive in-and-of itself!
